The Mercury uses a manual controlled gas valve that uses a control knob for turning on, lighting, controlling the flame height, and turning the system off. The control knob is used rather than a key and key valve. A key valve can be added for a redundant shut-off but is not required. |

The ignition is backed by a 3 year warranty on residential installations and a 1 year warranty on commercial installations. |
