Coccivet – Treatment for Coccidiosis in Birds

Coccidiosis is a parasitic disease caused by Coccidia, a protozoan parasite that affects the intestinal tract of birds. This disease is transmitted through faeces and can survive dormant in the environment for up to 12 months. In hot, damp conditions, Coccidia become active and can infect birds when ingested, leading to serious health concerns.

• Nutrient Malabsorption: Limits the bird's ability to absorb essential nutrients.
• Dehydration and Blood Loss: Leads to general weakness.
• Susceptibility to Secondary Infections: Weakens immunity.

Directions for Use:

1. Flock Dose:

   • Mix 15mL of Coccivet in 10L of clean drinking water.
   • Treat all birds for 5–7 days continuously.
   • Remove all other sources of drinking water during treatment.

2. Small Aviary/Single Bird Dose:

   • Mix 1 drop (0.05mL) per 30mL of clean drinking water.
   • Treat continuously for 5–7 days.

3. Cleaning During Treatment:

   • Thoroughly disinfect aviaries and environments with a product like Vetafarm Avicare to prevent reinfection.

4. Repeat Treatment:

   • As needed, based on reinfection risks and environmental conditions.

Storage:

• Store below 30°C.
• Protect from light exposure.

Expiry:

• 2 years from the date of manufacture.
