From Cleghorn to Kadan: The Path to Service

This book charts the life and ministry of Bob Lee from his early days in west central Wisconsin to the completion of the Madak New Testament in 1995. This is not just about translation work, but about family and the joy of finding a wife and becoming the father of four children. Bob also sketches the ups and downs of training, and at times both he and Carolyn felt like quitting the translation program entirely. The reader will discover the challenges of living in a primitive setting and get to know some of the dedicated national men and women who not only assisted in the translation program, but did much of the translating themselves. It includes snippets of the exciting and unique experiences of their four children living in a third world country.Bob and Carolyn worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators during their ministry in Papua New Guinea. They assisted the Madak people with the translation of the New Testament and Psalms. They also spent several years training nationals with the New Ireland Translation Institute. Read more
