Friendboats

Friendship and Travel. Are there two greater forces that can change a person’s outlook on life? Friendboats is my answer. This work is the story of a person’s journey from a place of pessimism and negativity to finding the beauty of life. As I relate tales from my life in this narrative non-fiction memoir, I hope to give any reader a unique perspective of the world around them. Friendboats describes two parallel courses in my life as they come ever closer to merging together, culminating in a happier and well-rounded person. The first elaborates on my time living among a group of similarly minded guys in the Hokona dorm at the University of New Mexico. The second is the first international trip I took, touring four countries with two of my best friends. Relying upon observation of the small details of life, I hope to inspire in a reader a love for the world in all its aspects and forms, particularly in those moments that may not otherwise be deemed significant. This is the universal story of finding the lens through which you can look to see a brighter world. In this 97,000-word manuscript, I seek to help any person find and polish their lens to see that life is so easy to love, each moment so delightful to savor.Friendship and Travel.
