The 2027 Head WCR e.SL Rebel Team is HEAD's junior slalom race ski, scaled and tuned for younger competitors working their way up the U-series ladder. For 2027, the Team gets a real construction update: enhanced sidewalls that allow more pressure to reach the edge for sharper handling and better engagement on course.

Why we like it:

The new sidewall build matters more than it sounds. Junior racers often inherit older or under-built skis that feel washy on edge, and that hurts technique development. Putting real race-grade pressure transfer into a ski sized for a younger competitor is a meaningful step, and it shows HEAD is taking the youth pipeline seriously.

Who it's for:

Junior slalom racers from the youngest U-series classes through older juniors training toward FIS. Best suited for committed club racers and up; lighter masters racers can also size into this line.

Highlights:

The Worldcup Sandwich Construction here brings the same essential DNA as the senior FIS ski, including a wood core with titanal reinforcement and graphene to keep the swing weight in check. EMC F is the junior-spec version of HEAD's Energy Management Circuit, with a ceramic piezo plate in the front of the ski that absorbs vibration and keeps the chassis quiet through quick edge changes. The RD Racing Top Sheet is thin and responsive, which is exactly what a young racer needs for fast direction changes, and the Race Structured UHM C Base keeps glide honest.
