You’re probably a skier if you’re looking at this product, and if you’re looking at this boot in particular, you’ve probably just about had it with the lack of comfort and terrible fit of so many different ski boots. Well, thanks to K2, the BFC 100 might just be the light on the horizon for those struggling with boot fit and long-lasting comfort. The Acronym BFC stands for “Built For Comfort”. Comfort in a ski boot usually entails a more generous fit overall, so in order to achieve that, K2 designed this boot with a 103-millimeter last designed to accommodate even the widest of foot shapes. While the last of the boot is wide, the heel pocket remains nice and snug so your foot stays still while inside the boot. K2 uses a cush liner providing a soft interface between you and the boot for maximum comfort. They also pre-heat the liner before inserting it into the shell to ensure that there is little to no play between the two materials. Despite the liner being pre-heated, you can still thermo-mold the liners for a more precise fit that will adhere to the contours of your feet. If for some reason that doesn’t do it, the shell can be easily manipulated and punched out by a boot fitte5r should you need additional adjustments. But that’s the whole point of this boot- to not have to manipulate the boot to get a good fit.
